It is a good thing to seek the Lord early in the morning.

"And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved." — Psalm 119:47 (KJV)

There are many things in life that bring joy, but one of my favorite times of the day is the early morning. Before the demands of the day begin, before the phones ring and schedules fill up, I cherish those quiet moments spent alone with the Lord.

There is something uniquely beautiful about the serenity, stillness, and quietness of the morning hours. The world seems to slow down, distractions fade into the background, and my heart becomes attentive to God's voice. It is in these sacred moments that I open my Bible, spend time in prayer, and offer praise and worship to the One who has been so faithful to me.

Every morning begins with a simple prayer: "Lord, what would You have me read today?"

Often, a particular Scripture, chapter, or book of the Bible comes to mind. I turn to that passage with expectation, and without fail, God meets me there. Sometimes He provides comfort for a concern I have been carrying. Other times He offers direction for a decision I need to make. There are mornings when He gently corrects me, inspires me, or reminds me of His promises. Whatever the need, His Word is always sufficient.

What amazes me most is how personal these encounters with God can be. Though His Word was written centuries ago, it remains alive, powerful, and relevant. God knows exactly what I need before I even ask. Through Scripture, He speaks peace to my heart, wisdom to my mind, and strength to my spirit.

The psalmist declared, "I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved." The word delight suggests pleasure, joy, satisfaction, and deep affection. God's commandments are not burdensome restrictions; they are life-giving instructions from a loving Father who desires what is best for His children.

The more time I spend in His Word, the more I discover His character. I see His faithfulness in every season, His mercy in every failure, His wisdom in every challenge, and His love in every circumstance. His Word has become my guide, my comfort, my encouragement, and my daily bread.

After spending time with the Lord, I often feel compelled to share what I have received. Whether through a social media post, an exhortation, a Bible study, or a simple word of encouragement, I desire to pass along the blessing that God has given to me. It is my prayer that others will be strengthened, inspired, and drawn closer to Him through the truths He has revealed.

There is no earthly possession, achievement, or accomplishment that can compare to the relationship I have with the Lord. My connection with Him is priceless. His presence brings peace that surpasses understanding. His Word provides wisdom beyond human knowledge. His love satisfies the deepest longings of my heart.

In a world filled with noise, uncertainty, and endless distractions, God's Word remains a steady anchor for the soul. It refreshes the weary, comforts the hurting, strengthens the weak, and illuminates the path ahead.

If you have not yet established a daily time with the Lord, I encourage you to do so. You do not need a perfect setting or a lengthy schedule. Simply come with an open Bible, a willing heart, and an expectation that God will meet you there.

You may be surprised by what happens when you make room for Him.

The God who created the heavens and the earth still speaks today through His Word. He still comforts, directs, inspires, and transforms lives. And perhaps, like me, you will discover that your most treasured appointment of the day is not with a person, but with the Lord Himself.

May we all learn to delight ourselves in His commandments, love His Word, cherish His presence, and treasure the privilege of spending time with Him each day.

For in His presence there is peace.
In His Word there is wisdom.
And in a relationship with Him there is life..
