These folded hands tell a story—not just of hard work, but of holy stillness. Because true strength isn’t just found in doing… it’s found in knowing when to be still.
In a world that applauds hustle, I’ve learned to honor the holy pause.
This is something I recently discovered, and I want to share it with you.
It’s important for me to rest—because I have such a passion for the calling and work that God has placed on my life. And I want to show up fully present, anointed, and energized for every assignment He gives. Rest isn’t something I can afford to neglect—it’s something I must embrace.
Rest isn’t optional—it’s essential.
It’s the space where God refreshes our minds, restores our strength, and whispers new vision into our hearts. It’s where healing happens. Where clarity comes. Where the next assignment is prepared.
Even God rested on the seventh day—not because He was tired, but to set a divine example. You weren’t made to run on empty. You were made to overflow.
We weren’t created to burn out—we were created to burn bright.
And you can’t burn bright if your flame is out.
So today, I encourage you to lay down the guilt.
Put down the phone. Close the laptop. Breathe deeply.
Fold your hands—not just in work, but in worship and surrender.
Be intentional about entering God’s rest. Let your soul inhale peace and exhale pressure. Let rest become part of your rhythm, not just your recovery. It’s not selfish—it’s sacred.
